Cameron almost 5 years old!!

Our daughter, Cameron, was born with Disseminated Juvenille Xanthogranuloma(JXG), the rarest form of a very rare form of diseases. Her liver was destroyed and she underwent a liver transplant at only 31 days of age. Her JXG has since resolved, leaving her with many scars, but she has done extremely well. This past year, however, Cameron was biopsied and our worst fears were confirmed--she was in significant liver rejection. After 8 long months of extra medications with many side effects, things finally returned to "normal". Her underlying diagnosis made her management more difficult through this time as doctors have no past experience to learn from. In this day and age none of us expect to have medical problems no doctors know anything about--yet that is what we face with Cameron still. Cameron deserves a future with more answers and certainty regarding her health care, which is why we are asking you to join us in this cause. We are hopeful that funding for further research into Histiocytic diseases will provide more understanding and ultimately a cure for these diseases. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts!!!
